The Danish Working Environment Research Fund
The Danish Working Environment Research Fund - Arbejdsmiljøforskningsfonden - supports research in occupational safety and health. Applications are called twice a year.
The objective of the Danish Working Environment Research Fund is to strengthen Danish working environment research through the adoption of a research strategy and allocation of funds based on the prioritized themes laid out in the research strategy.
Presently the prioritized themes are:
- Work accidents
- Psychological working environment
- Musculoskeletal disorders
- OSH instruments.
Research themes and calls for application
The Fund supports research and development in occupational safety and health with the purpose of preventing and reducing working environment problems leading to mental and physical health problems and early retirement from the labour market. The Fund also funds reviews of occupational diseases on basis of specific calls for applications.
In the period 2003 to 2016, the Fund has approved research grants for 284 projects, totalling DKK 758,7 million.
In the strategy period from 2016 to 2017, the Fund will be distributing research grants totalling around DKK 120 million.
The Danish Working Environment Research Fund normally invites applications for specific research themes twice a year with deadlines around March 1 and September 1.
