The research training dimension of the Academy for Migration Studies in Denmark
is an important part of the Academy's activities. Doctoral students are offered
scholarly feedback by a supervisor and a co-supervisor, they take part in PhD
courses and seminars and offer their own project presentations in an interdisciplinary
environment of doctoral scholars and senior scholars. Furthermore, doctoral candidates
teach or co-teach courses and supervise student projects within their field of
research. Occasionally, the Academy offers fully salaried, three-year PhD scholarships,
which will be openly advertised, also on this website (under job
openings). In the Visiting Fellows Programme
international doctoral students are invited to apply for a stay at AMID. In the
field of research training, AMID collaborates with SPIRIT
- School for Postgraduate Interdisciplinary Research on Interculturalism and Transnationality
at Aalborg University.
